conan red sonja #1 - editedThe good people at Dark Horse are delivering a one-two sword-and-sorcery punch with this classic character team up.

Writers Gail Simone and Jim Zub guide the warriors through an adventure to versus a “sorcerer-priest hell bent on creating a dark new age in Hyborian warfare.”

Conan/Red Sonja team ups are not unusual as she was first introduced in “Conan the Barbarian #23” back in 1973, her origin apprearing in another barbarian’s book, “Kull the Conquerer,” two years later in 1975.

With the resurgence of popularity of both characters, and especially Sonja, it’s no surprise a crossover is happening right now. Feast your eyes on a shiny preview!

About Tamara Brooks

A few things I wondered about as a kid: Why didn't Wonder Woman punch more bad guys in the face on the tv show?; How does Superman flying around the Earth turn back time?; Could someone really catch bullets with their teeth?; Why didn't the liquid bits of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man cause 3rd degree burns on whoever it landed on? Because melted marshmallow is up there with molten hot lava.
