The Misfits Beta Site Is Go!

UPDATE: 3/22/10 – As you can see, we’re still in the process of updating things (which is going a bit slower than we’d like but we want nothing less than the best for our fellow Misfits).

That being said, the slow posting schedule is officially over. While we’re putting the final touches on the re-redux, unfortunately that means we’ve had to disable the comments sections for the articles but I hope you enjoy reading everything nonetheless.

Just as a taste of what to expect, we’ll have weekly Doctor Who related articles leading up to the BBC America premiere (April 17th), the return of “I Cast”, our take on the state of the Syfy Channel, the Summer Movie Guide, and a host of other fun stuff (wouldn’t want to spoil all the surprises).

So thank you for sticking with us through this transitional time. We look forward to sharing our shenanigans with you!

We’re baaaaa-aaaaack…and looking spiffy!

Over the last few weeks we’ve went back to the lab to come up with a bigger, better, badass-er site and I dare say we’ve succeeded splendidly. While there are still a few bolts to screw in, don’t let that stop you from kicking the tires and taking her for a spin.

The biggest change to take note of is that we’ve changed the CSM to WordPress so participating in our shenanigans will be much easier. We also encourage you guys to visit Gravatar and set yourself up an account – you can link several email addresses to a single account so that the same avatar can follow you to all Gravatar-enabled websites you have a login with. Shiny.

We hope you guys hang out with us because there’s going to be a lot of cool stuff coming and we’re really excited to get rolling again. Stay tuned for updates on ongoing changes and announcements!

P.S. Does the site look a little funky to you? Are you using an old version of Internet Explorer? Perhaps you should update to the latest version and have a look at us again…

A few things I wondered about as a kid: Why didn't Wonder Woman punch more bad guys in the face on the tv show?; How does Superman flying around the Earth turn back time?; Could someone really catch bullets with their teeth?; Why didn't the liquid bits of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man cause 3rd degree burns on whoever it landed on? Because melted marshmallow is up there with molten hot lava.
